We have many regional groups in Northern California, throughout the greater Bay Area, Sacramento/Sierra/Foothills, Chico/North Sacramento Valley, Fresno, and the Central Coast. Our Mission Statement
Families with Children from China, Northern California Chapter provides a network of support for adoptive families and waiting parents to:

What We Do
FCC Northern California provides local and regional networks of support for families who have adopted from China, and is a source of information for prospective adoptive parents. Membership fees are tax deductible.

We sponsor many events throughout the year, including playgroups, get-togethers, and holiday celebrations for children and families, Chinese culture and language groups, parents' nights out for informal or panel discussions of many issues, forums for waiting and prospective parents to meet and ask questions, and a growing list of other activities-all organized by parent volunteers. Our network of families can provide links to information about local services and resources. We strongly encourage families to connect with their local Chinese American communities and the greater adoption community. We actively support and cosponsor events with community organizations, focusing on adoption, cultural, and educational opportunities. Selected FCC-Northern California events and activities raise donations for charitable organizations with a demonstrated track record of assisting children in Chinese orphanages.

Browse our website which provides listings of upcoming events and playgroups, information on events in the larger Bay Area - Northern California community, links to cultural resources, selected articles from our newsletter, and regional FCC contacts, including playgroups, as well as parent support groups.

Who May Join
FCC welcomes all families who have adopted or plan to adopt children of Chinese heritage, whether from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, or the United States. Many of our families have children from other Asian countries, and have biological kids as well. We also warmly welcome prospective and waiting parents, adult adoptees, friends of adoptive families, adoption agencies, and other educational and business groups that support FCC's mission.
